Computer Lab Guidelines

General rules for appropriate computer lab use.

  • Smoking is not permitted in the computer labs, bathrooms or any campus building.
     
  • If you have trouble with the equipment, report the issue to the Lab Assistant working in the lab. If the Lab Assistant is uanavilable,  contact the Helpdesk at (630)637-5440 during office hours or via email to .
     
  • If you will be listening to sound in the labs, you must wear headphones.
     
  • Software is not to be copied. Violators of copyrights will be prosecuted by the proper authorities.
     
  • Please do not enter a lab if a class is in progress. Please check lab reservation sheets posted by the doors of each lab.
     
  • Do not save your work on the local hard drive. All work should be saved to your F: drive or on a removable USB drive.
     
  • Refrain from talking loudly or causing a disturbance towards other lab users.
     
  • Talking on cell phones in the labs is prohibited. If you must use a phone, please go out in the hallway.
     
  • Eating and drinking is not allowed in the labs at any time.
     
  • Please do not attempt to service any lab equipment yourself.  All issues should be serviced by authorized personnel.
