How do I create an Authorized User account?


An Authorized User account can be created for your parent or guardian so they can log into Merlin to access tuition information. Please follow the instructions below to create an Authorized User account:

  1. Log in to Merlin at merlin.noctrl.edu
  2. Select the Students menu.

     
  3. Select Authorized Users.
  4. Select the Name for which you would like to grant authorized user access.
  5. Create a Login id and password for the authorized user.
    You can provide an email address so the authorized user can receive notification when a bill is available.
    Be sure to check the access box for "Online Statement" to grant the user access.
    Click Submit.

How do I change the password for an Authorized User Account?


  1. Log in to Merlin at https://merlin.noctrl.edu
  2. Select the Students menu.

     
  3. Select Authorized Users.
  4. Select the account that requires a password change.
  5. In the password field, type in a new password.
    Verify the box is checked to allow the account "Online Statement" access.
    Select Submit.

How do I remove an Authorized User's access?


The system does not allow you to completely remove an authorized user account, however you can remove the user's access to your information.

  1. Log in to Merlin at https://merlin.noctrl.edu
  2. Select the Students menu.

     
  3. Select Authorized Users.
  4. Select the account that you would like to disable .
  5. Un-check the access box for "Online Statement".
    Click Submit.

I received an Error: Login ID not found message. What do I do?


When logging in to Merlin, make sure you select the Log In link NOT the Authorized User Login link. The Authorized User Login link is where parents or guardians of students can login to access financial information.

I received an error: "You entered an invalid username or password. Please try again." How do I login?


This error occurs when you have entered an incorrect username or password. Please verify that you have typed your information correctly

Please note that BOTH the user id and password are case sensitive.  Usernames should be entered in all LOWERCASE.

I received an error: The maximum number of cookie values has been reached.


This message is occurs when four or more Merlin windows are opened in the same session. 

Firefox:

  1. Log out of Merlin and close any open Internet browser windows.

  2. Log back into Merlin
    - if your are still receiving the error, proceed to step 3

  3. Launch Firefox

  4. Click on Tools->Options  (or the orange Firefox button Options->Options)

  5. Click on the Privacy tab of the Options window

  6. Click on the link "remove individual cookies"

  7. In the Search: field, type merlin. The cookies that match your search will be displayed.

     
  8. Select each cookie (or multiple cookies by holding down the Shift key) and select Remove Cookies

     
  9. Click Close

To prevent this error in the future, all child windows must be closed using the CLOSE WINDOW button instead of using the browser's X to close the windows.

Chrome:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.
  5. Click Cookies.
  6. Under "All cookies and site data," search for the website's name.
  7. To the right of the site, click Remove Remove.
