ITS UPDATE: More Woes but All is Well Now

More Woes but All is Well Now!
At approximately 10:30 pm on December 24th the Novell network had the
same problem that occurred earlier that week on Tuesday night. The
ability to log into any system was disabled. ITS worked on the solution
for about an hour and finally restored the ability to login to all
systems. However, access to drive space was not funtional. Therefore
access to drives such as F, N, and W were not possible. ITS postponed
working on drive access until after the holidays.
On Friday, December 26th, another problem occured when the automatic
lock schedule for buildings would not activate. The CBORD server was
checked and all was funtioning and a quick solution to that issue was
not possible. The system was overridden and the problem will be further
investigated this week.
Today, Sunday,December 28th, access to all drives was restored. That
access was restored by early Sunday afternoon.
