Long story short: at approximately 2:25 pm we started having problems with email which then turned into a problem with the network.  We have been working on this all night and although we have things up and running response times may be slow.  The reason for the slowness is that  we have one server doing the job of 3 servers.

Students have not been affected by any of these problems except between 6 pm and 7 pm when the entire network was down.  Student email is on a separate server.

 

We are working with Novell to resolve these issues.  We will keep you informed.
