Have you been spammed lately? And, by the way what is Spamming? Yes, and spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages.
Several faculty and staff have called me to complain about the recent spams that they have received via email. As a reminder, you can not sell anything via the College's email system . In addition, College resources may not be used for personal financial gain or political activity. Nor should College resources be used in direct support of non-college entities, such as support for people, clubs, charities, churches, businesses, family or neighbors. While limited personal use of information technologies is permitted, North Central's policy, "The Responsible Use of Information Technologies", states that College resources are to be used to support the College's basic missions of teaching, learning and research and for directly related College efforts.
Please use our technology systems responsibly.
If you have any questions about this policy, please feel free to contact me at ext. 5433.
