Firefox Printing Control
Firefox offers control over how your Web pages print, including headers and footers, what to put in those headers and footers, page margins and more.  To customize printing in Firefox choose File, Page Setup.

The Format and Options section lets you pick page orientation and scale and allows for printing background.

The Margins & Header/Footer tab allows you to set the margins along the top, bottom and sides of the page.  The bottom part of that screen lets you choose whether to print headers and footers, and choose to print text such as the URL of the page, the date and time, etc.  Just make your selection from the drop-down list.

You can also customize your printing by opening any drop-down box under Headers & Footers and select Custom.  A Custom text box appears.  Whatever you type in that box will appear when you print.

You can combine this with special codes that use variables.  The following is a list of variables you can put into the text box and what they will do:

You can combine these codes with text.  For example, if you visited a Web page today, Dec. 19, 2007, and the Web page had five printed pages you can type this code: Kathy printed &P on &D.  This is what you would see on the 4th page of the printout: Kathy printed 4 of 5 on 12/17/07.
