I f you had driven by North Central Friday night you would have seen lights on in Carnegie, specifically the ITS area. 

 

At 7:35 pm the alumni directory was not responding (a Web server program).  After trying to fix the problem from home proved fruitless, ITS staff made a trip to the College to check the situation out in more detail.  The server was not running. A power surge created the problem and caused other damage to the server as well. A new server had to be configured and the applications were ported to it.

 

At 1 am a very tired staff got everything working again and headed home.
