ITS UPDATE: Oh, What a Night!

Oh, What a Night!
 
It appears that some gremlins did not want Halloween to end and so celebrated All Hallows Day by downing two of our systems.  Datatel and Merlin were acting like yo-yo's going up and down between 4 pm and 6pm when we were finally able to fix the problem.  Users could get in if they were lucky enough to hit the system when it  was up.  The User Interface listener was at fault.  This problem makes no sense to us, but it is what it is!
 
Then not to be outdone, GroupWise tanked at 9 pm and was not restored to normalcy until 11 pm.  Most users of that system were not aware of the problem.  That problem was due to a corrupted email that was sent to the College that drove the email system nuts because it could not figure out what to do.  It ended up like a dog chasing its tail
 
All is well, so far, today.
