Keyboard Shortcuts
Here are some keyboard short-cuts that will help speed your computing.
Ctrl-Shift-A = Upper or lower case copy quickly. Highlight the words you want changed and then hit your Control key with the Shift button and A.
Windows key-M = You can minimize all windows by hitting the Windows key and M together.
Ctrl-Alt-Del = When an application has frozen use the Control/Alt/Delete shortcut which will take you to the Task Manager where you can shut down the application causing the problem.
Ctrl-Z = Undo last action
Ctrl C = Copy
Ctrl X = Cut
Ctrl V = Paste
Ctrl B = Bold
Ctrl I = Italicize
Ctrl U = Underline
Ctrl ESC = Open Start Menu, use the arrow keys to select an item
F1 = Help
F2 = Rename an item
F3 Open Find All Files dialog
Alt F4 = Close the current window, or quit current program
Shift F4 = Automatically repeats the previous Find command in Word
F5 = Refresh screen
Alt F6 Switch between multiple windows in the same program
F10 = Activate the menu bar in a program
Shift-Del = Delete items permanently
Ctrl F1 = Hide or minimize the Ribbon
Ctrl L = Align a paragraph left
Ctrl E Align a paragraph center
Ctrl R = Align a paragraph right
Ctrl 0 (zero) = Add/remove space before a paragraph
Ctrl 2 = Apply double line spacing
Ctrl 1 = Apply single line spacing
Ctrl Shift N = Apply Normal style
Alt Shift 1 = Apply Heading 1 style
Alt Shift 2 = Apply Heading 2 style
Alt Shift 3 = Apply Heading 3 style
Shift F3 = Change case
Ctrl Y = Redo last action
Shift F10 = Open shortcut menu
F7 = Check spelling
Ctrl S = Save document
F 12 = Save As
Ctrl P = Show Print dialog box
Ctrl O = Open
Ctrl Shift F = Font dialog box
Ctrl F = Find
Ctrl H = Replace
Ctrl A = Select the entire document
Shift F7 = Display Thesaurus
Ctrl Shift S = Style Dialog box
Ctrl Left Arrow = Move pointer left one word
Ctrl Right Arrow = Move pointer right one word
