ITS UPDATE: How to Call a Sender Back Using Voice Mail Options;Alternative Message

How to Call a Sender Back Using Voice Mail Options
Ever wonder why all your voice mail messages have a 9 before the telephone number?  It is set up to make calls automatically both internally and externally.  To call the sender back:

1. Listen to a voice mail.
2. Press # to reply.
3. Press 7 then 0 to call the sender back.

Alternative Message
I'm always asked in Voice Mail if I want to change my Alternative Message.  What the heck is this?  Our voice mail system is very sophisticated and has so many options that it makes one's head spin.  The standard set up for Voice Mail allows you to set up greetings for 4 different occasions: Internal Calls, External Calls, Busy, and After Hours calls.  When you do not want to use any of those settings you use the Alternative Message which is used for all phone calls no matter where or when.  Even with the Alternative Message option you can record up to 9 different recordings.  For example when you are out-of-the office, when you are sick, when you are on vacation, if you are at a conference etc. can all be saved by you once and then when you need to use them you just go to the Web interface and change it to the proper recording.  It gives the flexibility to record the message once and then forget about ever having to record it again.
