The new GroupWise Mobile Server is in place which means that if you have a current PDA you can synchronize your GroupWise calendar with your PDA.  The only PDA that will not work is a Blackberry since it uses proprietary software.  If your PDA uses CE 2003 or Version 5 or the newest Palm OS you can now synch without problem.  If your PDA does not use any of the software listed ITS can probably set it up using PDA Connect.  If you need help setting this up please contact the Help Desk.

 

If you can get on the Internet with your PDA you can access Web Mail.  If you have a wireless card in your PDA you might be able to connect to NCCNet.  Please make an appointment with ITS to determine this feasibility.  Send your request to the  Help Desk.

 

Blocking spam is like a dog chasing its tail.  ITS puts in new spam blockers and hackers figure out new ways of spamming.  ITS is blocking over 50,000 spam emails a day.  A new surbyl was put in place that will block an additional 6,000 spam emails a day. 

 

The 'N" drive has become extremely popular and the storage space was maxed out.  Over the weekend more storage space was added for "N" drive users.

 

If you used  * 1 to bypass the greeting in voice mail,  now use just the 1.

 

 

You can move between calendars by clicking the Calendar button on the Header bar in the Calendar view and selecting the calendar of your choice.  To view all calendars at once, select Calendar.  (Note: The Calendar button is inactive if you are viewing your Folder list.
