Happy birthday World Wide Web!  Today in 1991, Tim Berners-Lee first released files for the first ever web browser, World Wide Web and the first web server to the world.  The Web is so intertwined into our lives that a lot of us can no longer imagine what life would be without it - how hard life would be - how difficult it would be.

 

You can now create multiple calendars in GroupWise.  Each new calendar that is created is assigned a color.  When the new calendars display in the calendar view, the appointment background color matches the color of the calendar that it belongs to. 

 

Select File, New, Calendar.  Enter the name of the new calendar.  Click the Color button.  Select a color and click OK.

 

You can move between calendars by clicking the Calendar button on the Header bar in the Calendar view and selecting the calendars of your choice.  To view all calendars at once, select  Calendar. (NOTE: The Calendar button is inactive if you are viewing your Folder list.)

 

The Navigation bar allows for quick access to your most used folders.  By default, the Navigation bar contains shortcuts to your Home view, Mailbox, Calendar, Sent Items, and Contacts.  However, the Navigation bar is customizable, so you can add shortcuts you use the most to the Navigation bar.

 

Right click the drop down arrow to the left of Home on the Navigation bar.  Click on Customize Navigation Bar.  Click on the folders you would like on the Navigation Bar.  You can also drag and drop items to move them to the tabbed folder.

 

Before you can synch with hand held devices ITS needs to install GroupWise Mobile Server.  It is our intent to have that server up and running by the end of the month.  Once we get that server fully functional we will provide instructions on how to synchronize with hand held devices.
