How can I contact my son/daughter?
Each residence hall room is assigned a direct dial phone number.
You will not have to go through a switchboard. Students will learn
their telephone number when they receive their room assignment
prior to move in.
Can I use a cordless telephone?
Yes and No. While the telephone system supports
cordless telephones, you will find that the structure of the buildings
on campus will produce very poor reception.
How are the students billed for their telephone charges?
There are no phone bills associated with a student's phone line. All on-campus and local
calls are free, and to make a long distance phone call students must use a calling card.
Will caller identification work in the residence halls?
No. Caller ID is not currently a function of the telephone switch.
Can students make calls using a calling card?
Yes. Students must use calling cards to make long distance calls.
