The rule of thumb for most NCC network, email, Blackboard and Merlin
usernames is:
first initial + middle initial + last name
Because this may give the same result for multiple people, some users will be assigned a different username; when in doubt, check

Email addresses are in the following format:
username@noctrl.edu
Here's a hypothetical example for a user named John Quincy Adams:
