|
- You can view your slides as they will look in printed form using
Print Preview, a new command. This
command is found on the file menu.
Print Preview opens in its own window. You will preview the document
how they will actually look in black and white or grayscale before
you print them.
- If you tend to use the Outline
tab to organize presentations, you might want to customize PowerPoint
options so that the Outlining toolbar
opens every time you open the program. To do so, choose Tools,
Customize. In the Toolbars
tab, check the Outlining check box.
- When selecting a graphics file format for saving, note that
some pictures file formats let you ungroup and edit the elements
in the picture, such as Windows metafiles (.wmf). Some file formats
do not such as bitmap files.
- Adding tables to your slide is an excellent way to show important
trends and relationships among groups of data. You can create
a table that has numbers, words, or both in a PowerPoint slide.
To insert a basic table, perform the following steps:
- Display the slide in which you’re going to create
the table.
- On the Standard toolbar,
click Insert Table
- In the table grid, point to select the number of columns
and rows that you need. When you click, the blank table is
inserted into the current slide.
- Add your data to the cells. When you’re finished
adding data to the table click the slide background to close
the table.
