Power Point XP Tips - 09/03/02
|
- A new feature in PowerPoint 2002 is a visible grid that can
help you align objects more precisely. To turn on the grid, simply
click the Show/Hide Grid
button on the Standard toolbar.
- The button labeled “Preserve Master”
on the Slide Master View toolbar
prevents a Slide Master from being
automatically deleted by PowerPoint in certain circumstances.
If you want to be sure your Slide Master
remains available to you next time you open the presentation you’re
working on, click this button.
- If you find you cannot play a particular sound or video in
PowerPoint, you can try playing it using the Windows Media Player.
Choose Insert; Object;
and select Create from File. Browse
to find the file. It is placed on your slide as an object and
is run using the Windows Media Player.
- You can use the AutoFit Options
button that appears when you type too much text for a placeholder
on a slide. If you click this button when it appears, you can
split the text into two slides or continue the text onto a new
slide using options on the list of options offered.
- In PowerPoint 2002 you can insert predesigned diagrams using
the tools on the Drawing toolbar.
Diagrams are used to demonstrate how something works or to illustrate
relationships among parts of a whole.
