Ingeniux CMS
Using Ingeniux CMS from your PC for the First Time or After an Upgrade
Ingeniux CMS requires that you install some related software ("Controls") on your computer before you can use it for the first time on your PC, and that you install North Central College's security certificate.
Ingeniux CMS Controls
Before you use Ingeniux CMS on your PC for the first time:
- Click the Windows "Start" button at the bottom left corner of your screen.
- Go to "Network Programs" and choose the "CMS 5_2 Controls" menu item.
- This install will take about a minute.
When this installation is complete, you will be able to begin using Ingeniux CMS by visiting https://cms.nccnet.noctrl.edu/www/ via Internet Explorer.
Security Certificate
We are using a more secure means of logging into the our new server for Ingeniux CMS 5.2. It involves a technology called SSL to encrypt communication between your browser and the CMS server. When you go to the CMS site you'll get a security alert message saying there is a problem with the site certificate. You can be assured that nothing bad is happening. However, to prevent this box from appearing each time you go into the CMS you can:
- Click "View Certificate" on the security alert message box.
- Click "Install Certificate" on the "General" tab.
- Click "Next".
- Select the "Place all certificates in the following store" option button.
- Click "Browse"
- Click "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"
- Click "OK"
- Click "Next"
- Click "Finish"
- Youll then see a security warning box. Click "Yes".
- A message box will appear saying the import was successful. Click "OK".
- Click "OK" on the "General" tab.
- Click "Yes" on the security alert box where it asks you if you want to proceed.
