Mission Statement

Information Technology Services (ITS) will facilitate College excellence by enhancing the educational and management processes through pervasive and cost-effective applications of information technology. To accomplish this mission, ITS will

• Empower students, faculty and staff by providing sufficient, timely and effective support using a variety of interpersonal paradigms-- whether face-to-face, email, telephone, or the web.
• Continually monitor the changing information and technological needs of the campus community and respond accordingly.
• Promote and facilitate the effective integration of information technology into the basic mission of the College through planning, programming, training, consulting, and other support activities.
• Promote the new uses of information technology within the institution through support for exploratory and innovative applications.
• Continually improve products and services provided by the department.
• Develop and maintain a highly effective, reliable, secure, and innovative information technology system for educational and management purposes.
• Facilitate the collection, storage, and integrity of electronic data while ensuring appropriate access.

Vision

The ITS vision for the campus is a paperless communications network (voice, data, video, image) that is technically heterogeneous and has interoperability across elements in the environment on a device that connects students, faculty and staff to each other and the outside world. This single on-line information system would offer easy and institution-wide access to a broad spectrum of information resources and services.
